We arrived at school to discover that Mr Barnes’ sandwich had been stolen!
The crime scene was taped off and DNA evidence collected. Suspects (6 members of staff) had their fingerprints, teeth imprints, hair fibres and pens taken, to be tested by the children.
As a school, we set out to investigate and put our forensic skills to good use. We worked scientifically observing closely, identifying and classifying as we carried out investigations including finger printing, teeth imprints, chromatography, fibres, hairs and cells.
Finally, we collected and recorded our data and made conclusions about who the guilty suspect was before we shared our findings as a school.
